                                                    VOLUNTEERING
IT'S NOT JUST GOOD FOR THEM - IT'S GOOD FOR YOU.

Researchers at the University of Michigan report that the survival rate of seniors who volunteer 40 or more hours a year for a single cause was 40% greater than that of seniors who do not volunteer. Volunteering can improve your health, life, satisfaction, and social well - being.

So come give a moment of your time and share that smile - it benefits both the person who sees it and the person who gives it!

ASSIST WITH BINGO
BINGO

It may come as a surprise that the DAV has been around since before bingo was invented.  In fact the DAV was created by veterans of the 1st World War and chartered by Congress in 1932.

DAV Bingo has been operated by Chapter #84 for more than 25 years.  Many of our customers have told us how proud they are-as DAV Bingo proceeds help our vets in so many ways. Through bingo we raise funds in support of programs  such as –the Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service, or VAVS, and hospitality

REMEMBER YOUR

CHAPTER!

We are still trying to recover from past hurricanes that brought havoc to our building.

I take pleasure in thanking those members who continually support our Chapter through their efforts physically, monetarily, or both. In support to help in restoring this diamond in the rough, however; just those few alone are trying carry the load of what it takes for many to do.

There are over one thousand members in this chapter. I am asking those who have not seen or heard concerning this devastation, to please extend your talent and/or donations to partake in some of the repairs needed.

Please consider making a tax-deductible Check or Money Order donation today to

 Each One, Help One

 DAV Chapter 84  needs YOUR

 help. Your donation helps

bridge the gap between our

veterans  who are in need of

food, shelter or

transportation

to and from

doctors’

appointments. These are basic  needs that many veterans don’t have.  A decades of war has added new generations to the ranks of America's

wounded heroes. Your support will offer these and other veterans a pathway to healing. Through the DAV, you will lead the charge to make sure ALL veterans receive the care they need. You also help us to maintain our Chapter facility that is such an important part of the community here in Volusia County.
