The National Order of Trench Rats was conceived by a group of disabled World War I veterans who were patients in the
United States Public Health Service Hospital No. 54, located at Arrowhead Springs, California. In this isolated locale, there were no activities for the
patients to pass the time. So at this juncture in history, an idea was conceived and devised to provide fun and amusement to those who had been housed in this converted hotel.

If you are a DAV member- we are extending an invitation to you to become a NOTR Dugout 393 member. The Trench Rats visit Veterans in nursing homes, serve coffee and donuts at the VA clinic, and help setup other events for local veterans in our area.
Our meetings are held at 7p.m., the 4th Monday of each month.
